By now you all know about my love for the AE86...also known as the Toyota Corolla. If not then you are probably just discovering this site for the first time and should check out
this blog for more details. After picking up my car last spring I have grown to love just about everything that has to do with the AE86, both good and bad. The way they handle...the little quirks and defects that appear over time. So many reasons why this car is unique, and why I'm completely obsessed with it.
Most of my knowledge regarding these machines was acquired from a great resource known as
Hachiroku.net, a great website for anyone looking to find information about the Corolla.. I've spent hours and hours reading, posting and discovering all there is to know about these little RWD Corolla's, with many users offering help in solving problems. Just like our community here at Forzamotorsport.net, there is always someone willing to help who knows the ropes, so I decided to give back in my own special way...pictures.

I recently put together a local AE86 photoshoot meet to get a bunch of Corolla's in the same place at the same time for some group pictures. Car meets are always fun...you get to see a wide variety of rides at very different stages. Some are fully decked out while others are nearly stock. Some double as track cars on the weekends while others prefer the garage...it's all personal preference and it's cool to see the end result.
After posting about the meet I got a lot of good feedback, and in the end the turn-out was great. The weather however was quite miserable, but we definitely made the best of it. They call Seattle the rainy city for good reason, as dark clouds and scattered showers literally rained on our parade. Lucky for us the security guards we're really laid back and let us use the well lit (and covered) portion of a nearby parking garage for some after hours pictures. In the end I had great fun meeting some of the local 86 owners, and am definitely looking forward to another meet when the sun returns from hibernation.
So here are the results of our labor...a bunch of clean pictures of the local Corolla's. Check em out and let me know what you think!
