The moment you have all been waiting for has finally
arrived, as we have recently finished judging our Official Magazine and Website
Livery Contest! In case you haven’t
heard about our contest here is a quick breakdown of what it’s all
about. Essentially we challenged all the
painters out there to create a one of a kind livery, based on your
favorite Automotive/Gaming website or magazine.
These were the only restrictions in place, and as you can image we
received a large number of entries featuring websites and magazines from around
the world!
As with all of our
other contests we had an extremely hard time judging the submissions as all of
them were really well done and interesting to look at. We narrowed down the submissions to 10
finalists, and from there picked three overall winners. Since this competition is wide open, we kept
a very open mind when judging, however one of the main things we were looking for was a livery that
authentically reproduced the look and feel of their chosen website/magazine. One question we were asking ourselves during
the judging process was if this publication were to actually sponsor a car,
what would it look like? With this in
mind our users set out to create a unique one of a kind livery, and as always
we were completely blown away by the quality and authenticity of the
submissions.
So before the winners are announced I just want to say
congratulations to everyone who participated.
Every entry was unique and interesting in its own way, and we had
a hard time narrowing them down to 10 finalists, let alone 3 winners. To see all of the submissions make sure to check out the contest submissions thread here. So with all that said, here are the top 3
liveries along with the 7 finalists from the Official Turn 10 Magazine and Website Livery Contest!
First Place: Little Vixen – Game Faq's
Congratulations to “Little Vixen” for this amazing design. We really appreciated the inclusion of characters
from various games, as it gives the livery a strong link to Game Faq’s. Great work!
Second Place: Turtle Art – IGNThis submission really impressed us as well, due to the strong link to the
chosen website. The design elements,
color selection and overall look of the car match perfectly with the look of IGN.
Third Place: Duff Man D - Banzai MagAnother great livery was submitted by Duff Man D. This design really caught our eye, and I am
pretty sure you can all see why. Great
job Duff!
